Pad printing is the process by which a logo graphic or solid color piece of art work can be transferred from an engraved template to another objects surface. On the engraved plate ink is fed into the engraved area from a reservoir, a silicone pad then pressed over the engraving transferring the ink to the pad. The pad then pressed down on the object to transfer the ink to the object. Because the pad is soft, flexible and comes in many shapes and sizes the object being transferred to does not need to be flat. Additionally multiple color transfers can be done by repeating the pressing process.
