A vinyl cutter uses a small knife to accurately cut the outline of shapes/images into a sheet or piece of vinyl. These shapes are first designed in CAD programs and programs dedicated to vinyl cutting and exported to a format the cutter can read. The vinyl cutting knife moves side to side and turns, while the vinyl is moved beneath the knife. The results from the cut process is an image cut into the material. The size of the vinyl cut work is limited only to the length of the roll of material and width of the cutter. Using different methods, words and letters can be done with accurate spacing between them allowing decals and branding to be created very easily.
